Special Board Meeting Minutes from April 19, 2021

Tuscany HOA Board Special Meeting

 19 April, 2021

A special Board meeting called by President Stephen Jones for the election of officers for the 2021-2022 period.

The meeting was called to order by Mr. Jones at 6:32PM in the front yard at 1218 Thornbury Ct.  Social distancing of six feet was observed following COVID-19 protocol.

In attendance were the following Tuscany residents having been elected to the Board of Directors at the recent annual meeting:

            Stephen Jones                     Sandra Wilt

            Andy Horne                          Randy Mears

            Heather Peery                      Dexter Blois

Mike Pastor arrived late

Other residents present:

            David Weakley                     Jeanne Yazinski

Beginning the election process, Mr. Jones nominated Andy Horne for the office of president, seconded by Ms. Wilt. VOTED: Unanimously

Then, Ms. Wilt announced her resignation from the Board.  She stated that if there was someone else wishing to serve on the Board, that she would step down, but remain active to assist the Board.  Her resignation notice to be filed with the Board secretary.

Then, Mr. Horne nominated David Weakley to fill the vacancy created by Ms. Wilt’s resignation.  Motion was seconded by Ms. Peery. VOTED: Unanimously

Mr. Jones nominated Mike Pastor to serve as secretary.  Seconded by Mr. Mears. VOTED: Unanimously

Mr. Horne nominated Dexter Blois to serve as treasurer.  Seconded by Mr. Mears. VOTED: Unanimously

Mr. Jones nominated Randy Mears to serve as Vice President.  Seconded by Ms. Peery. VOTED: Unanimously

Mr. Jones moved that Ms. Peery serve as Chairman of the Board’s Community Oversight Committee.  Mr. Blois seconded. VOTED: Unanimously.  Ms. Wilt and Ms. Yazinski volunteered to assist Ms. Peery on the committee.

Ms. Wilt gave a brief update on the entranceway beautification project for which a county grant will be applied.  Mr. Blois, who is assisting with the grant application, stated that the application would be due in the County offices by May 30.  Ms. Wilt has contacted several landscape architects who would create a design proposal which is needed for the grant application.  She also indicated the status of the HOA’s present landscaper (Ivan).

Having no further business, the Board adjourned at 6:45PM.
