Tuscany HOA Monthly Board Meeting

September 9, 2019

 

Call to Order was made by Sandra Wilt at 6:27 p.m. The meeting was attended by board members Sandra Wilt, Jeanne Yazinski, Monica Lepp, Andrew Horne and Larry Ort.

There were no community members in attendance.

Treasurer's Report Jeanne Yazinski gave a treasurer's report which shows:

Current checking balance: $16,118.38

Current savings balance: $41,495.73

Dues owed by 2 residents: $1,753.02
(Both residents are billed and the balances accrue interest every month)

Jeanne also reported that she has contacted John Mulligan from Living Water Irrigation to get a copy of the updated insurance papers. There has been no response yet. The board discussed and decided that he will be told that he cannot perform any more work until we have received the papers.

Andy Horne moved into motion that the Treasurer's Report be accepted. Sandra Wilt seconded and it was carried unanimously.

Community Oversight Committee Report: Larry Ort shared the Community Oversight Committee Report.

  • July:

Larry reported that there were no new CC&R violations for July. There were two non-violations for lawn mowing/weeding and palm fronds needing to be trimmed that were brought to the attention to the homeowners, and were quickly handled.

The Lawn of the Month was awarded to Paul and Maria Bryant at 1608 Victoria Way.

  • There were 2 ARB requests in July:
    • 1643 Malcolm Point Drive  Repair Fence (7/8/19)
    • 1528 Cashiers Drive  Widen driveway by 4 ft and add a 32" side walk with pavers. (7/14/19)

 

  • August:

There was 1 new violation for August.

1652 Victoria Way: Pressure wash driveway and sidewalk. There were 6 non-violations for pressure washing of driveways & sidewalks that were brought to the attention to the homeowners alerting them to the issue.

The Lawn of the Month was awarded to Donna and Kent Horsley at 1679 Victoria Way.

  • There was 1 ARB request in August:
    • 1608 Victoria Way:  Install new shingles (8/1/19)
  • The repair of the irrigation leak at the front entrance has been completed.

Old Business  The community beautification grant project is ongoing. Board members Jeanne Yazinski and Larry Ort have been submitting the required bimonthly reports on the 15th and the 30th of each month. Currently the project is in process.

New Business: The Tuscany Community Luminaries Night will be on Saturday, December 14th. Sandra and Larry will check the bags and sand in storage. Sandra will post instructions on the Tuscany Facebook page closer to the event and order candles. Additionally, a design committee will be solicited to decorate the community entrance with new Christmas Decorations.

General Discussion:

  • The Tuscany Resident Directory will be updated next year. Andy Horn has experience with printing booklets and will assist in the project.
  • Sandra will contact the public works dept regarding the pump station at the community entrance to request guidance in the event the community loses power during a weather event. (Guidance regarding a generator on site and a procedure to alert community members not to flush/drain water)

It was agreed by all that there would be no October meeting. At the November meeting, the Board will review and approve the 2020 budget.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:05pm
