Board Meeting 7-21-2014

Meeting called to order at 6:30 PM

Minutes of June HOA Board Meeting - Pending

 

Treasurer's Report - presented by Lori Jones indicating that expenditures are in line with budgeted projections. Sandra Wilt moved that report be accepted and the vote was unanimous for approval.

Old Business:

1. Landscape Committee Report -- Donna Horsley reported that Florida Landscape submitted a final bill for sprinkler work. She recommends paying only a portion since the work was never completed, but Ok'd payment of the monthly bill to F.L. for regular landscape maintenance. She indicated holding on contacting the pond clean up contractor for spray and debris removal but after discussion, it was decided to contact them ASAP to clear pond.
2. Fine Schedule/CC&R Revisions -- Committee will review and make revision recommendations and will meet with attorney (No update).
3. CC&R Violations -- Inspections in progress, violations being determined. A resident complaint was received via the HOAs e-Mail YourTuscanyHOA@gmail.com
4. New attorney -- Prospective HOA Attorney seeking Tuscany's business is scheduled to attend next HOA Board Meeting. All board members should be prepared to ask questions regarding current regulations and determine what services he can offer at what cost.
5. Tuscany Times Newsletter/HOA Directory --  Hand distributed to all residents weekend of June 28 & 29. Lots of positive feedback received. Printed newsletters greatly desired over an e-mail version.

New Business:

1. Potential for insurance claim for common area wall -- Policy has a $2,500 deductible. Policy research to be conducted to determine if this is a viable course of action.
2. Fall Newsletter -- Topics and articles are desired and input from residents can be submitted via the HOA e-Mail YourTuscanyHOA@gmail.com and/or Facebook Tuscany Neighborhood

Next Board Meeting -- Monday, August 18, 2014 at 6:30 PM at Sandra Wilt's home (1630 Victoria Way)  All homeowners are welcome to attend
