Board Meeting 21 Apr 14

Meeting called to order 7:35 PM

Attendees:

Sandra Wilt, President

Lori Jones, Treasurer

Mike Pastor, Secretary

Robert Walker, Member (ARB Chairperson)

Absent:

Donna Horsley, Member (Landscape Chairperson) Attending Don Stazen's funeral

Old Business:

  1. Fine Schedule/CC&R Revisions  Committee (Dexter Blois, Chairperson) will review and make revision recommendations and will meet with attorney
  2. New attorney must be selected. Need an HOA attorney, not a real estate attorney
  3. CC&R Violations: Only 2 remaining from the 50 notices that were mailed out.
  4. Security Camera for front entrance to record/capture traffic in & out; options need to be explored.
  5. Front entry wall has a split/crack caused by oak tree roots. The wall is stable and not deemed to be at risk of falling. Sandra will go to City of Winter Garden to determine rules/requirements for tree removal.
  6. Announcement Board: options & alternatives to be explored.
  7. Landscape Committee: (entry & perimeter lights, irrigation, landscape compliance, pond algae and fountain maintenance, pest control, yard care)
  8. Yard of the Month (Rose Stavely)  Sandra to obtain list of past winners and discuss upcoming process.
  9. Ladies Club (Diane Johnson, chairperson)  Meets monthly the 3rd Wednesday 6:30 PM

New Business:

  1. Treasurer's report reviewed and approved. (Sandra to go to bank to be added to account-needs to bring annual meeting minutes) Unpaid dues--liens will be persued.
  2. Recent deaths in the neighborhood:  Our condolences to these families

  1. Special Events Committee - (formerly known as Sunshine Commmitte)...Recruit Members to help with all the activities
  • to present cake/welcome packet to new homeowners
  • to present a plant to families having a death in the family
  • Yard Sales
  • Annual Picnic (November)
  • Block Party (May)
  • Holiday Party/Luminaries December
  1. Neighborhood Block Party - May 4 in Hawksberry cul de sac Everyone invited
  2. Neighborhood Yard Sale  May 17  we will place ads in West Orange Times and Orlando Sentinel the week prior to.  Mike to determine City of Winter Garden Community Wide Yard Sale Permit requirements (Budget $35)
  3. Storage Unit for HOA property and records (Sandra to research)

Next Board Meeting:  May 19, 2014 at 7:00 PM at Sandra Wilt's home (1630 Victoria Way)
